Cinnamon is based
at Leeds University, doing research on women's employment,
and policy development in this area with public and voluntary
sector clients across the UK. A previous position was
as the Gender Manager at Objective 1 South Yorkshire

Cate Dixon
I am delighted to be involved with SYWDT. My background
includes various roles within training and development,
both the design & delivery of training and policy development
in central government. I have worked in the voluntary sector,
health sector and civil service. For over 10 years I have
been actively involved in supporting the progression of
women. I now run my own consultancy business.

Helen Jackson
Since leaving Parliament, as the
MP Sheffield Hillsborough, Helen is as busy as ever. She has
been working with the Equal Opportunity Commission to raise
awareness in government and the public about the outdated
unfairness of women and pensions and working as a freelance
tutor , currently with the WEA.

Jane Thomas - Chair
I have a strong commitment to the equalities agenda
and have lobbied hard to get women the right support in
public life, in the workplace and in their communities.

Zaidah Ahmed
Zaidah is qualified as a Teacher, Counsellor,
Careers Advisor, Youth Worker, and Connexions Advisor and now
as a Community Education Advisor where she works with the community
to encourage and empower women into training and education opportunities.

Sandra Burke
I was born in Barnsley and came to study as a mature student
at Sheffield University in 1982, having previously been
employed in the Civil Service and Local Government. On graduation
I worked in the voluntary sector in the City before taking
up a post at the Northern College in 1989. I retired from
my full time post as Assistant Principal (Administration)
in 2002 and now work part time at the College as the Company
Secretary/Clerk to the Governing Body.
